Ambra 670 - Numerous "Stellate Hairs" typical of baltic amber  - long moss filament 11mm - vegetable remainsas - diptera.

In baltic amber the inclusions of vegetable remainsas, sawdust and power of wood caused by xilophagi insects, are numerous; numerous and typical of this amber are the "Stellate Hairs", little stellate formations coming probably from the oak bracts; also the pollens are relatively plentiful but they often escape to the observation because of their small dimensions; instead the leaves and the flowers are quite rare while they are found more easily in the Dominican amber

Even if the Baltic amber is a product vegetable, we does not have any inclusions certainly referable to the tree (Pinus Succinifera) which with its resin, would have originated it.
